Christmas at Mayflower Society House

Another wonderful meetup with my PDP friends, this time at an historical home in Plymouth, MA. Every 2 years Mayflower Society House dresses up this antique home for Christmas, and it's an over the top visual delight! We were there for an hour and fifteen short minutes, it went by like 10 minutes, I never even made it upstairs. Sean, a fellow member, lent me his Canon EF85mm f/1.2L lens and I was in heaven, the photos below is what came of it. Luckily, as I organized this, I get to go back for our second session tomorrow, it's only open for a few days, and us photographers have permission to enter before the crowds get there and use our tripods. Thank you Mayflower Society House!!

Decorated for Christmas: Rotch-Jones-Duff House

The Rotch-Jones-Duff House  is an historical home in New Bedford, MA. Our camera club, Plymouth Digital Photographers Club, was fortunate to be able to have a private visit there on Saturday, thanks to Nancy M. who arranged everything for us. A beautiful home with willing volunteers who let us wander around finding wonderful things to photograph. We enjoyed a group lunch afterwards at a local Portuguese restaurant, what a fun day! Thanks, Nancy.

5 images combined in the Photomatix HDR program.

 All decked out for Christmas.

PDP (Plymouth Digital Photographers) 3rd Year Anniversary Party

On a beautiful, warm, clear Saturday evening, July 7th, about 45 photography friends  (PDP link) gathered at Plymouth Beach for a party celebrating our 3 years as a photo club. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect evening, great light, lovely children, talented and friendly photographers and spinning, burning fireballs! Everyone brought a dessert to share, their cameras and tripods and we were a very happy bunch!!

The tide going out, giving us lots of room to play.
