Buildings in Puerto Morelos

Buildings on the beach, and all kinds of dwellings for all kinds of visitors.

Temporary shelter for the sole purpose of massages on the beach, nice spot, isn't it?

Love the colors and shapes.

The contemporary look, nice clean lines.
Architecture by Ramon.

Shells are frequently imbedded in the concrete walls.

On the other side of town, abandoned dwellings.

 An old nightclub?

More great color.

Living is Easy at the Beach

The many faces of Puerto Morelos, mostly people with a tan and mostly outside.

The beach is everyone's living room.

 Amigos.

Cleaning the weeds out of the sidewalk, getting ready for the first night of this little restaurant.

Tamale man, he's all over town selling good food from his bicycle.

He's getting a tan, this is the darkest I've ever seen Joe! Happy man!

More easy living at the beach...

Lounge chairs I'd like to have access to...

A Pelican airing out it's wings.

Yup, it's pretty nice here in Mexico.

Very Relaxed in Puerto Morelos

Very relaxed and relaxing is how I would describe the town of Puerto Morelos. There are no high rise hotels or resorts in town, and rules are few. Joe and I walked to town for dinner last night and everyone is having a good time, stress free.

 Many pretty places to relax.

Walking in the street is fine.

A cooking school with no walls.

Now here's something you'd never see in MA, but here no one cares how you dress, or what is covered or not. Interior shot of our main tienda, Casa Martin, on the main square.

The most popular hang out spot in town.

More relaxing, sit wherever you want to.

Our restaurant for the evening, La Terrazo, organico.

A great recycle wine, and other bottle project.

Dinner!

 Dogs are allowed everywhere...

..they can relax where they want to.

Can't Have Too Much Beach.

Well, maybe you can, but I've taken so many images of our beautiful beach here in Puerto Morelos I had to post a few more. When I'm back in the cold they'll be nice to look at.

Babes, or dames, at the beach.

Special effects from when I'm in the water with my new underwater Olympus camera.

Around 2 or 3pm usually finds us at the beach, the sun isn't as strong and it's still a good time for a swim.

Too cute! Found on the main pier in town.

Such concentration!

Think I'll go back again tomorrow, while I can....

Sunday at the Beach in Puerto Morelos

Family day is traditionally Sunday, but pretty much every day seems to be family day here. Sometimes the families don't arrive until 3pm on a weekday, but they use the beach a lot, bringing food, umbrellas, chairs, tables and hang out together. Everyday has been pretty perfect here, warm water, soft sand, sunshine and temperatures right where they should be. The beach is the place!

 Tasty and vegetarian offerings.

Taken with my Olympus underwater 'Tough' camera.

The end of another fine day. Photo looks good here, but we really only see the sunrise:-)
