A Thursday in April in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain

I spent a very pleasant morning walking around observing people going about their daily routines in Jerez de la Frontera. My camera of choice was my Canon 6D with an older Lensbaby Composer fitted with a star burst shaped aperture, that's how the points of light in some of the images have a star burst shape, all done by the camera... and the photographer. Sometimes a happy mistake :-)

The blurred edges are a result of the Lensbaby lens, an effect I enjoy playing with.

The outdoor market is always my favorite place and happens every morning in Jerez.

This baby's grandfather gave me permission to take the photo. I love the baby's 'who are you?' look.

Life in Plaza del Salvador, Seville

More images on the theme of people in the streets of Seville. Since I'm mostly walking in the streets that's where I see people, sometimes inside in the bars and restaurants. Outside is the preferred place to be, and in this city everyone else seems to think the same way!

Most of these are taken in Plaza del Salvador, we are often there, great area of activity.

The most charming Spanish father and daughter, we shared a beer in Plaza del Salvador. She attends a private all English school and spoke English in the most delightful way. She and I bought Macarena pins together, check out her coat.

I call this "Then and Now". The young boy will be an older man someday, and the man was once a young boy. He may be looking for his younger self...

On the Streets of Seville, Spain

A few more photos from my large assortment taken in Seville, Spain. We've been here over a month and I have now accumulated close to 5000 images! A bit much, but oh my... the things I see on the street here are so compelling!!

Another bachelorette party. It's the custom to celebrate your upcoming wedding by roaming the streets with your best friends, everyone dressed in a similar outrageous thing. Here it's the red wigs. They are very creative and have a lot of fun, the men do it, too.

This young boy found the pigeons fascinating. He looks afraid here, but he really enjoyed them. I brought some stale bread with me to feed them.
